The instructions are per packet of mix (to make 6 cookies).

Instructions are included on the package for using nut butter or just water.

When using just water, we recommend letting the batter sit for about 15 minutes to thicken before baking. Be sure to spray your parchment or silicone liner, also, as the cookie dough will stick otherwise.

For traditional cookie texture and shape, bake in the oven.  For a super-quick giant cookie snack, you'll still get pretty good results from the microwave! Just be sure not to overbake in either case. See below for oven and microwave tips.

To keep the protein cookies from getting dry, it's important not to overbake them. It may be worth checking your oven temperature with an oven thermometer

If your oven doesn't heat consistently throughout, you may want to rotate your cookie sheet halfway through the bake time.

The instructions on the package say to check after 5 minutes. The actual bake time can depend on the bakeware you use and on your oven temperature. You'll want to remove the cookies just after they puff up, and before they become firm.

Because overbaked protein cookies will be dry, you might want to check your oven temperature with an oven thermometer.

We suggest microwaving the cookie dough as one giant cookie for 20-30 seconds (20 seconds if using butter, 30 seconds if using nut butter for a 1000 watt microwave). Because microwaves vary, you may want to start with a lesser time so you don't overbake your cookie. You'll want to remove it from the microwave when it is still slightly undercooked, and let it set as it cools.

Our silicone cake pan is the perfect size for microwaving your cookie.
