After struggling with disordered eating and body image issues for many years, I found a high-protein diet to be an integral part of my transformation to a healthy lifestyle. Adding protein to healthy desserts and snacks can help with hunger and cravings, help regulate blood sugar, and it means we can eat cake for a healthy breakfast!
Andréa's Protein Cakery is excited to bring you delicious products and recipes that can help you treat your body well. Our ingredients are all-natural, gluten-free, and with the exception of some natural sprinkles and chocolate chips, are free from refined sugars. We are proud to offer egg-free options, and we use lecithin-free protein powders so most of our products are soy-free, as well.
I have always loved baking. I'd say it's in my genes, since many of my family members are, or were, pastry chefs and bakers. I went the academic route and studied mathematics, but it seems I have found my way into the industry after all! This all began when I told a friend I was taking a class in grain-free/paleo baking. He said, "You should bake with protein powder." I said, "You can do that?" And so it began!
